The Expenditure Management directorate is responsible for the formulation, management of the National Budget as well as monitoring and evaluation of the Government programs and projects

  • Spearheading reforms in areas of Public Finance and Programme Based Budgeting

  • Implementation of Inter-Governmental Fiscal Transfers
  • Provide technical advice on the implementation of Public Finance Reforms and issues pertaining to expenditure and Fiscal Policy
  • Produce Implementation Plans and cash cash-flows for Capital Projects and Programmes in consultative with Implementing Agencies
  • Prepare comparative analysis of capital budget, project physical performance and produce periodic performance reports
  • Guide MDAs in the implementation of projects and programmes
  • Analysis of feasibility studies
  • Monitoring and evaluation of Government programs and projects
